NIELSEN held a webinar for ad agencies YESTERDAY (12/6), where SVP/Product Leadership BILL ROSE and Managing Dir. BRAD KELLY reaffirmed the company's changes in diary reports that are set to begin in JULY 2019. Chief among them was that current four-book markets will receive 12 currency releases that will comprise three months of data, starting with the MAY/JUNE/JULY 2019 report.

The reason for continuous measurement were that it makes the data more timely, aligns media measurements of radio, TV and digital, and improves data stability through rolling monthly samples.

Later on, one of the webinar attendees asked if NIELSEN was considering adding more PPM markets; the prohibitive cost of doing so, as well as the legitimacy of diary measurement, were cited as reasons there are no plans to do that.
