The deadline for entering comments to the FCC on the NAB proposal that revamps radio ownership rules is MONDAY, APRIL 29th. On JUNE 15th, 2018, the NAB suggested that the FCC eliminate radio ownership restrictions in all markets except for the top 75, allow for the ownership of up to eight FM radio stations in each of the top-75 radio markets (with two additional stations allowed if there is participation in the Commission’s incubator program), and allow the unlimited ownership of AM stations in any market.
In today's FCC UNCENSORED column, GREGG SKALL delves into the matter at length; get the details here. And for more background on the NAB proposal, check out NET NEWS 8/6/18 and 12/12/18.
